My half sleeve design, going to be on my right arm, roughly 7"H x 6"L. Hibiscus and plumeria because those flowers remind me of my father, who always told me to follow my dreams and my heart no matter what. The flowers remind me of him, because of our trips to Hawaii, and they became my favorite type of flower. My dad was always trying to get me to follow my heart and go to cosmetology school, but because of the cost I didn't want him to have to pay for it. Well, I am there now, unfortunately he isn't here to see it. With this on my arm, it will serve as a constant reminder of how supportive he always was of me.

Passed my Color Finals

Passed both test outs for my color class.  My written I got a 85% and my practical I got a 100%!!!! Was so happy with my practical score.  I can't believe I got the highest score in the class.  Got my business cards from vistaprint, and I start on the floor on the 16th

Testing out

Well, I am testing out of my color class tomorrow and Friday.  Written is tomorrow, and my practical is on Friday.  Super nervous about the practical, I'm never worried about the written. But these practicals man, they're killin me.

Started my color project today, did all the coloring except for the blue, and did the cut.  all that is left is the blue, and fine tuning.  Couldn't find a turquoise, so I just settled for blue. :(

Hibiscus

My 25th birthday present from my mother-in-law, hibiscus drawn/designed by me.  Actual ink done by my friend "AO Ink" 6.8.2011, left shoulder

I got this for one, because it is my favorite flower ever! And for second, my best memories of me with my father are in Hawaii.  So, if anyone plans on getting me flowers, the hibiscus is definitely the flower to get me.

So far, in school

I am now in my 14th week of school, and will be on the floor in just a couple short weeks.  In my sculpting class, I had a 94% (test scores were: 93%, 88%, 98%, 89%, and 100%)  And, in my design class I have a 93% (test scores were:  83%, 89%, 92%, 100%, and 100%).  So, I am doing great at school.  My color test out is next week.  And I am feeling pretty confident about it all.  I have already taught myself how to do acrylic nails, not to mention to do them to my own hands (we don't learn nails until November).

I just can't wait to start working on real people on the floor! I even got myself business cards.  Haven't been this happy for years, I am ready to go head first into my new life!
